Covering a vast area of 3.7 million square kilometers, the Congo Basin — with its expanses of intact forest — is one of the planet's most valuable natural treasures.

Thynna Kabika Ngangura
Thynna Kabika Ngangura has been a member of the Board of Directors at Entreprise Générale du Cobalt (EGC) in the Democratic Republic of the Congo since 2024. Holding a Bachelor’s degree in Molecular Biology from Université de Namur in Belgium, she spent 15 years in the US pharmaceutical and biotechnology industry, latterly as Senior Project and Study Coordinator at Goodwin Biotechnology in Florida from 2009 to 2016. Returning to the DRC in 2016, she served as Supply Chain, QHSE and CSR Director at Bracongo S.A., the country’s leading brewing company, leading a large team across four departments, and then as Head of External Affairs at Buenassa from 2023 to 2026. She brings this international expertise in operations, management and corporate responsibility to her work in the DRC.
